Cesana Torinese is a small commune located in the province of Turin in the Piedmont region. The indigenous population of the commune is just over a thousand people, a large one works in the tourism industry. Cesana Torinese is a popular ski resort that is part of the Via Lattea resort region.

About the resort

The history of the Cesana Torinese commune dates back to the 11th century, which was reflected in its appearance - medieval churches and chapels dating from the 12th century still attract many tourists from different countries. In the Middle Ages, the commune was mainly engaged in agriculture, but since the 60s of the last century, the tourism industry began to develop in the region. On the territory of the resort region of Via Lattea, there are more than 400 kilometers of pistes of varying complexity and altitude. More than half (220 km) of them are red, suitable for experienced skiers. Professionals can try their hand at the slopes from the peaks of Fraiteve (Fraiteve) and Moncrons (Moncrons).

The cost of a ski pass depends on the time of year and the age of the skier: for children (from 2009 year of birth and later) a week ski pass will cost 59 euros. For an adult - 153/223 (in low / high season, respectively).

“Golden” ski pass is provided to tourists of advanced age - from 1941 year of birth and earlier.
