Rating agency Mercer. German cities are leaders in living standards

In 2011, Munich, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt were named cities with a very high standard of living among the metropolises of the world. The Mercer agency compiles a global rating of the quality of life annually, and the German leading cities lost only Vienna, Zurich and Auckland.

Cities with a very high standard of living among the metropolises of the world were named in 2011 Munich (4th place)Dusseldorf (5th place) and Frankfurt (7th place). The Mercer Agency compiles a global rating of the quality of life annually, and the German leading cities lost only Vienna, Zurich and Auckland (New Zealand). Three German cities were recognized by experts as the most comfortable and safest (in this indicator they are world leaders).

Over the past year, the German metropolises have even been able to improve their own performance on the Mercer list - they have advanced several positions. A rating was compiled based on research on a number of indicators: from the development of the transport industry to environmental programs and public safety. Two hundred major cities in the world were investigated by Mercer as part of this annual monitoring. The thirty cities most comfortable for people included several other German megacities: Hamburg (population about 1800 thousand), the capital of the state - Berlin, cities Nuremberg and Stuttgart.

Cities of Russia comfortable for the population are not recognized. Moscow and St. Petersburg took very low places: 163 and 164. Other Russian cities were not even considered in a study by the Mercer agency. Baghdad took the last place in the "competition".
